My passion is serving neurodiverse students of all ages. I believe piano is the perfect outlet for students with ADHD, ASD, and related conditions—including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and SPD.
Everyone belongs here. Whether your student is non-verbal, high-energy, or needs a little extra room to move, my studio is built for them.
I’ve intentionally designed a "medium-stimulus" environment to keep students engaged without being overwhelmed. The studio features:
Sensory Tools: Fidgets and playdough to keep hands busy during theory.
A Gentle Atmosphere: The soft hum of an aquarium and friendly dogs behind a pet gate.
Engagement Points: "Busy" walls designed to spark interest for ADHD minds.
Note for ASD Families: While this environment is calming for many, it is designed with "points of interest" that may occasionally be overstimulating for some students on the spectrum. I am happy to discuss specific sensory needs!
I believe in celebrating every milestone. Throughout the year, I host seasonal recitals—like our popular Halloween and Christmas programs—to give families a chance to gather and enjoy music. These are lovely, low-pressure events, and while the majority of my students participate, participation is never mandatory. If a student isn't ready for the stage, we celebrate their progress in the studio instead.
For students looking for an extra challenge, my memberships in MTNA (Music Teacher's National Association), TMTA (Texas Music Teacher's Association), and ADMTA (Austin District Music Teacher's open doors to a variety of enrichment activities. From theory tests and composition competitions to local festivals, students have the opportunity to earn medals and certificates. These programs are open to everyone but remain entirely optional, allowing each student to move at their own pace.
